I am saddened to hear of Les's passing, simultaneously celebrating the long, rich, life he enjoyed. Les and I connected during my late wife's illness through our mutual love of photography. Looking at all the photographs displayed here I can totally agree: he was a Renaissance
man. His images are full of life, humor, and humanity, and that legacy merits more recognition than it has received so far. We lost touch through the years, all my fault, but I never forgot him, his erudition and his love of Italian which he spoke like a native. May God keep this good man and Claudia, his wife, whom he loved with tenderness and delight for their shared life.
